Biography

I’m Muhriz Murad, known as Poke Two. I was born in Malaysia and I am a graffiti artist currently based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. My passion for graffiti began in 2000 while I was studying in Melbourne, Australia. During my daily train rides to university, I was exposed to Melbourne’s vibrant graffiti scene, and that constant visual inspiration sparked a deep interest that has stayed with me ever since.

My background in Graphic Design helped me develop my love for style writing and lettering, allowing me to take what I learned on the computer and bring it to the streets.

Through my work, I hope to inspire young people to be creative and to believe in what they do. I also aim to show that graffiti can be something beautiful and appreciated when given the right space and time, rather than being viewed solely through the lens of vandalism.

Style

My lettering style blends color combinations and effects that shift depending on the medium I’m working with. Using the street as my canvas, I express my art and bring more color to the walls, making them feel more alive.

Artwork

I have participated in major events across the UAE, including the longest graffiti mural (Rehlatna), which broke the Guinness World Record in 2014; the Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Basquiat event in 2019; The Most Nationalities in an Art Lesson, which also broke a Guinness World Record in 2022; and World Art Dubai in 2022 and 2023. I have also worked on projects with Abu Dhabi Municipality, Brand Dubai, Wasl Properties, Damac Properties, Gitex, Microsoft UAE, Givenchy, Adidas, H&M, and Louis Vuitton.
